Conducting hardware inspections prevents unauthorized dimensional changes or the simplification of surface treatment processes, ensuring that mass-produced goods match the approved samples. These inspections safeguard dimensional accuracy-thereby avoiding assembly difficulties overseas-and identify defects such as plating issues, deformation, and rust to ensure products meet standards for both appearance and functionality. Additionally, verifying packaging protection mitigates the risk of corrosion damage during ocean transport and prevents the high costs associated with returning goods after arrival; inspection reports also serve as a basis for resolving quality disputes between buyer and seller.

● Visual Inspection – Checks for scratches, dents, deformation, burrs, pinholes, color variations, coating detachment, rust, and stains.

● Dimensional Inspection – Verification of critical dimensions-such as total length, hole diameter, thickness, and mounting hole locations-using tools like calipers and plug gauges to ensure proper assembly fit.

● Surface Finish Verification – Assessment of electroplating, spraying, polishing, and anodizing quality.

● Assembly and Functional Testing– Testing hinge operation smoothness, lock functionality, load-bearing capacity, and the fit/tightness of fasteners.

● Material and Marking Verification – Checks for material grade, engraved logos, and model markings; if material authenticity needs to be determined, samples must be drawn for "chemical analysis".

● Packaging Inspection – Verification of scratch protection, individual packaging, and outer carton protection to prevent mutual scratching or rusting during transport.
