Humidifier Inspection

Humidifier Inspection involves third-party inspectors visiting the manufacturing facility to conduct pre-shipment inspections on various types of humidification equipment—such as ultrasonic and evaporative humidifiers—based on purchase orders, approved samples, product specifications, and mutually agreed-upon AQL sampling standards. The process entails verifying product models, appearance and workmanship, structural sealing, humidification functions, electrical safety, labeling/nameplates, and packaging conditions. Inspectors identify quality defects and assess product compliance, subsequently issuing an impartial third-party inspection report that serves as the basis for overseas buyers to decide whether to authorize shipment.

The Importance of Humidifier Inspection

Humidifier Inspection4

Humidifiers are small household appliances that involve water. Pre-shipment inspection can detect problems such as water leakage, functional failure, water shortage protection failure, appearance damage and other problems in advance, preventing returns of goods after they arrive at the port, saving high round-trip logistics, tariffs and port demurrage costs; effectively preventing the factory from changing accessories specifications, ensuring that the quality of large goods is consistent with samples; avoiding the risk of safety complaints related to electrical and water leakage, and third-party inspection reports can also be used as objective and effective judgment evidence when quality disputes arise between buyers and sellers.

Key inspection items

1. Documentation and Accessory Verification: Verify that the model, color, voltage, and plug specifications match the order and sample; inventory accessories such as the remote control, power cord, and user manual; ensure nameplate parameters, warning labels, and certification marks are clearly and correctly printed.

2. Appearance and Structural Inspection: Check the housing for cracks, scratches, deformation, color inconsistencies, or burrs; inspect the water tank for damage or signs of leakage; ensure the tank fits the unit body properly and opens/closes smoothly; check the power cord for insulation damage or crushing marks.

3. Sealing and Leakage Test: Fill with clean water and let stand to check for seepage or leakage at the tank base and pipe connections.

4. Functional Testing (Powered On): Test power on/off, mist output levels, timer settings, constant humidity mode, and low-water protection; observe mist uniformity and ensure the unit operates without abnormal vibration or noise.

5. Safety Inspection: Verify the effectiveness of the automatic shut-off function for low-water conditions; ensure the unit's temperature rise remains within safe limits and there are no electrical leakage hazards.

6. Packaging Inspection: Check that internal cushioning and protection are adequate; ensure the color box and shipping carton are intact and dry with accurate printing, and capable of withstanding the vibrations and humidity associated with long-distance sea transport.
