Why inspect the vacuum cleaner before placing an order?

Conducting third-party inspections on vacuum cleaner samples prior to placing a formal order allows for the early verification of product specifications, performance, and appearance against procurement requirements, as well as the timely identification of functional defects or safety hazards. By sealing approved samples to serve as the standard for mass production, companies can prevent discrepancies and quality issues, effectively mitigating risks such as rework, returns, shipping delays, and customs clearance violations, thereby safeguarding the interests of domestic and international buyers.
Inspection Standards for Vacuum Cleaners
I. Document Verification
Verify model, color, accessory list, voltage, power rating, and product logo against the customer's order specifications.
Confirm text versions for the user manual, nameplate, and labels (ensure language matches the destination country).
Check for required certification marks (e.g., CE, FCC, PSE) based on target market requirements.
II. Visual Inspection
Housing: Free from sink marks, scratches, dents, color variations, burrs, yellowing, or deformation; mold seams must be uniform with no edge lifting.
Plastic parts: Free from cracks, black spots, oil stains, or color variations; no paint peeling or blistering on sprayed/plated areas.
Filters, dust cups, and brush rolls: Free from damage or burrs; transparent dust cups must be free from scratches or haziness.
Buttons, knobs, and displays: Free from scratches; printed characters must be clear, sharp, and free from ink loss.
Power cords and hoses: Free from damage or indentation marks; connectors must be securely assembled.
III. Assembly and Structural Inspection
Component assembly/disassembly: Dust cup, filter, brush roll, and hose must attach and detach smoothly without sticking or excessive looseness. Fit/Assembly
Assembly gaps are uniform; no looseness or abnormal noises; no rattling sounds from internal parts when the unit is shaken.
Latches open and close firmly and do not detach on their own; sealing rings are correctly installed with none missing.
IV. Functional & Performance Testing (Core)
Power-on test: Normal startup; smooth gear/speed switching; responsive buttons; indicator lights function correctly.
Suction test: Stable suction across all settings; no significant fluctuations.
Noise test: No abnormally harsh noises or motor friction sounds during operation; only normal operating noise.
Sealing test: No dust leakage or air exhaust at the dust cup or connection points during operation.
Runtime test (Cordless models): Battery life meets specifications; charging functions correctly (no failure to charge).
Brush roll operation: Smooth rotation without stalling or jamming; anti-tangle mechanism functions correctly (if equipped).
Charging dock (Cordless models): Good contact when placed for charging; no power interruptions due to poor contact.
V. Safety Testing
No abnormal overheating or odors during prolonged no-load operation.
No risk of electric leakage; overheat protection functions correctly (for models with this feature).
Power cord is resistant to pulling; connectors do not detach easily.
VI. Accessories Check
All accessories-main unit, charger, dust bag, filter, crevice tool, brush tool, storage stand, etc.-are present; no missing or incorrect parts.
VII. Packaging Inspection
Unit color box printing is clear; model number is correct; box shows no crushing, damage, or moisture.
Internal EPE foam/polystyrene is securely positioned to provide effective protection during transport and prevent scratches.
Outer carton markings: Model, quantity, gross/net weight, and destination labels are accurate; carton is sturdy.
VIII. Major Defects (Immediate failure)
Motor fails to operate; no suction; short circuit upon power-on.
Severe electric leakage; burning odor during operation.
Cracked housing; missing core components; product mismatch (incorrect model/voltage).
Severe dust leakage during operation; unit unusable.
Minor Defects
Slight scratches, tiny black spots on the exterior, or slightly uneven gaps; does not affect usability; subject to negotiation for acceptance or rework.
