Why conduct an inspection of shavers before shipment?
1.Remove defective units on site at factory to avoid big financial losses after goods arrive abroad
Electric razors are small appliances for personal facial care. If buyers find large-scale quality issues such as chipped blades, weak motor power, charging breakdown or electric leakage only after containers arrive at destination ports, they have to pay expensive fees for return ocean freight, container detention and port storage. In serious cases, all goods have to be discarded, and distributors cannot arrange shelf sales on time. On-site pre-shipment inspection picks out faulty products directly in factory, so we won't ship large batches of defective items.
2.Meet regular risk control needs of overseas buyers
Most overseas supermarket chains and brand buyers use pre-shipment inspection reports to confirm receipt of goods and settle final payment. A qualified inspection record works well for letter of credit negotiation. It can effectively stop trade disputes where buyers deduct payment or reject full containers due to quality defects.
3.Confirm accurate shipping quantity and test protective performance of packages
We fix human errors like short loading, mixed product models and wrong color batches made by factory workers. The foil net and cutting blade of razors are precise and fragile parts. Broken outer cartons easily cause product damage during long sea transportation with constant bumping. We test the shockproof and moisture-proof performance of cartons in advance and adjust packaging solutions timely to cut transport damage.
4.Verify official certifications to stop customs seizure in importing countries
We check key certifications including CE, FCC, RoHS, lithium battery shipping filing documents, rated voltage & power labeled on items, warning stickers and manual languages to fit local import regulations. Missing certifications or wrong printed marks will lead to customs detention or even direct destruction of cargo. Document review before shipment lets us fix issues early to clear customs smoothly.
5.Keep good brand reputation for partners both offline and online
Faulty razors sold to end users will trigger massive after-sales returns, customer complaints and negative feedback on e-commerce platforms. Early quality control delivers stable using experience for consumers, protecting brand image and market reputation for buyers' physical shops and online stores.
Inspection Standards
Quantity and shipping mark checking standard
(1) Count actual packed quantity for each carton. Zero tolerance for over-loading or short-loading compared with purchase order and packing list. (2) Shipping marks, model codes, SKU, color codes and destination labels on outer cartons must be printed clearly without typo or missing print, fully consistent with order files. (3) Inner boxes are placed in unified direction, no upside-down placement inside cartons.
Appearance judgment standard Class A Critical Defects (Reject single unit directly)
(1) Broken or deformed foil net, cracked cutting blades, rusted blades; (2) Cracked or broken main shell, deep dent from strong impact; (3) Deformed loose charging port which cannot connect with charger normally.
Class B Major Defects (Full batch sorting & rework required if excess limit)
(1) Obvious color difference on shell, assembly gap wider than 0.3mm; (2) Blurry logo printing, large-area paint peeling, tilted printed characters; (3) Hard scratch longer than 2mm on the body, more than 3 scratches on one single shaver.
Class C Minor Defects (Acceptable limit) Tiny plastic burrs, dot-shaped stains, micro scratches under 1mm. Max 2 minor flaws per unit, no impact on appearance or usage.
Functional testing standard
(1) Power on test: Buttons respond smoothly for power on/off without stuck or failure. No harsh abnormal noise during operation. (2) Cutter head operation: Stable rotation without shaking or offset vibration, smooth cutter head movement without jamming. (3) Charging test: Indicator light lights up once charger is connected. Battery can reach marked endurance after full charge without charging interruption. (4) Waterproof models (IPX7/IPX6): Work normally after cold water spray test, no short circuit or indicator light disorder caused by water ingress. (5) Endurance test: Continuous working time after full charge reaches over 90% of rated working time marked on product.
Mandatory electrical safety standard (Full rejection once failed)
(1) No bulging, swelling, deformation or liquid leakage on lithium battery cells with strange odor; (2) Surface temperature of the whole shaver stays below 45℃ during full charging, no overheating; (3) No electric leakage on outer shell during leakage test; (4) No cracked power cord or exposed copper wire, no burnt smell from power adapter.
Accessory and packaging inspection standard (1) All standard accessories (power adapter, cleaning brush, storage pouch, user manual, cutter head cover) must be complete without missing items. (2) Color gift boxes have no crease, crack, water stain or fuzzy printing. (3) Outer carton keeps good hardness, no obvious collapse when pressing the box by hands. Packing tape fully covers carton sealing edges. (4) Each shaver has independent dust protection cover for cutter head to avoid abrasion in transit.
Marking and document compliance standard (1) Clear printed rating voltage, power, model, manufacturer name and production date on product nameplate; (2) Firmly pasted warning labels (no direct washing, lithium battery warning, high voltage reminder); (3) User manual printed in designated language of importing country with clear pictures and words; (4) Complete supporting documents including certificate of conformity, CE/FCC/RoHS certificate and lithium battery sea transport documents.
Sampling drop test standard (AQL 0.65 sampling level) Drop carton from 80cm height onto concrete ground on corner, edge and flat side for one time each. Pass standard: no product breakage, normal function and intact outer package after opening carton.
