Why inspect heaters before shipment?

1. Avoid electrical safety risks
Heaters are electric heating appliances. Poor wiring, failed insulation or broken overheat protection may lead to electric shock or fire. Overseas authorities enforce strict electrical rules, non-compliant goods may be detained or rejected after arrival.
2. Prevent rejection caused by poor performance
Weak heating output, faulty temperature control or abnormal noise make products unusable. Discovering such defects after sea shipment brings huge cost on return and rework.
3. Lower disputes over appearance and packaging
Check scratches, dents or cracks on casings and verify complete accessories before shipment. It helps avoid arguments whether damages come from production or transit.
4. Ensure batch consistency
Confirm bulk goods match approved samples, check model and nameplate info to prevent wrong or mixed items.
Inspection Standards
Sampling Rule
AQL standard applied: Critical 0, Major 2.5, Minor 4.0. Samples are selected according to total order quantity.
Inspection Items & Acceptance Criteria
1. Documents & Marking Check
Verify model, nameplate, voltage & power rating, warning labels. All data shall match purchase order. Markings should be clear without typos. Check carton shipping marks, model and quantity.
2. Visual Inspection
No cracks, dents, paint peeling or sharp burrs on housing. No sink marks or color difference for plastic parts, no rust on metal parts. Tiny scratches with no influence on usage count as minor defect. Broken casing or heavy rust is major defect.
3. Accessories Check
Count power cord, plug, user manual, brackets and screws per packing list. Missing or wrong accessories are not allowed, all accessories in good condition.
4. Electrical & Safety Test
Power on test, normal heating output. Temperature control and power switch work properly. Overheat protection and tip-over protection can activate as designed. Power cable and plug intact. Electric leakage, short circuit or failed safety protection = critical defect, reject batch.
5. Performance Test
Stable heating without strange burning smell or abnormal noise. Air outlet fixed firmly. Insufficient heating or continuous weird noise counts as major defect.
6. Packaging Inspection
Inner cushion protection adequate. Outer carton solid and undamaged with proper moisture proof treatment and clear printing. Light carton indentation is minor defect; torn or wet carton is major defect.
Result Judgement
If defect quantity exceeds AQL allowance, the whole batch is non-conforming, issue non-conform inspection report.
