Why conduct an inspection of rice cookers before shipment?
It matters a lot for trade. Rice cookers are electric heating home appliances. Poor circuit parts or broken temperature controls may cause heating failure and even safety risks after buyers receive them. If mass defects are only found after sea shipment, return shipping and rework will cost a great deal of money and time, and may trigger trade disputes. We also check surface marks, inner pot scratches and missing accessories, making sure bulk goods match the approved sample and keep stable business cooperation.
Inspection Standards
Sampling follows AQL rule. Zero tolerance for critical defects, major defects at 2.5, minor defects at 4.0. Confirm model, voltage and total quantity match approved sample and purchase order.
1. Appearance & assembly
No dent, paint chipping, crack or heavy stain on outer housing. Inner pot shall have no coating peeling, deep scratch or deformation. Lid opens and closes smoothly without loose hinge. Nameplate marks, voltage and power data must follow buyer's requirement.
2. Accessories check
Power cord, rice spoon, measuring cup and user manual should all be included. Power cord has no broken skin, plug type fits destination‑market standard.
3. Power‑on function test
Indicator light and screen work after power supply. All keys respond properly. Cooking and keep‑warm modes run as expected. Timer function works well for timer‑equipped models. No strange noise or strong burning smell during operation.
4. Safety items
Auto cut‑off protection shall activate under dry‑burn condition. Plug and wire connection stay tight. We will not carry out destructive high‑voltage test on site, but check relevant product certification documents instead.
5. Packaging & shipping marks
Inner poly bag and foam offer proper protection. Outer carton keeps intact without damp or damage. Shipping marks, model number and country‑of‑origin print clear, suitable for sea transport stacking.
Defect classification:
‑ Critical: wrong voltage, electric leakage risk, failed dry‑burn protection → reject whole batch
‑ Major: function failure, inner‑pot coating peeling, missing accessories
‑ Minor: light surface scratch which does not affect actual use
